Our Family Legacy
In 1958, Emmett and Alice Koelsch, our Grandparents, pioneered our family’s beginnings in the seniors-housing industry. It began with their very first nursing home, The Monticello Hall, in Kelso, Washington. Between Emmett and Alice working together, their partnership went on to build the first assisted living community in the Pacific Northwest, Delaware Plaza. Their legacy has been passed on to their children and grandchildren who own and operate independent living, assisted living and memory care communities across the country.
In 1989, our parents, Dr. Larry Bunn, D.D.S, and Nancy Koelsch Munro, began their legacy developing and designing Tacoma’s first assisted living community, the Weatherly Inn. Fueled by Larry's pioneering vision, combined with Nancy's signature touch in creating warm and inviting spaces, the Weatherly Inn has become a bench mark in the senior-housing industry in the Pacific Northwest.
